News TV Channel / KCBS-TV, virtual channel 2 (UHF digital channel 43), is a CBS owned-and-operated television station located in Los Angeles, California, United States. KCBS-TV is owned by the CBS Television Stations subsidiary of CBS Corporation as part of a duopoly with independent station KCAL-TV (channel 9). The two stations share offices and studio facilities inside CBS Studio Center in the Studio City section of Los Angeles, and KCBS-TV's transmitter is located atop Mount Wilson.

The CBS News and Stations Los Angeles duopoly of KCBS and KCAL rebrands their joint news operation uniformally as "KCAL News", coinciding with the namesake independent station launching a seven-hour weekday morning newscast (its first weekday news venture in that daypart since it produced a half-hour 6:00 a.m. broadcast from 1990 to 1991), and its CBS O&O sister replacing its existing 2½-hour morning newscast with the live East Coast edition of CBS Mornings (from 4:00–6:00 a.m. PT) and a simulcast of the KCAL program’s 6:00 a.m. hour (leading into the West Coast edition of Mornings).
