Watch Live TV from Luxembourg

Television was introduced in Luxembourg on 23 January 1955 with the launch of French language channel Télé Luxembourg. It was first established when on 1 July 1954, the CLR (Compagnie Luxembourgeoise de Radiodiffusion) changed its name to CLT (Compagnie Luxembourgeoise de Télédiffusion). In 1997, CLT merged with a UFA Film- und Fernseh-GmbH based in Hamburg, Germany; a subsidiary of Bertelsmann, to create CLT-UFA. In 2000, CLT-UFA merged with Pearson Television and became part of the RTL Group.
