General TV Channel / TV Haugaland is a television station that was established in September 1994 in Haugesund. The channel has a license in 14 municipalities in northern Rogaland and Sunnhordland (about the area called Haugaland ). Several programmers in national media started their career in TV Haugaland, such as Julie Strømsvold (TV 2), Thomas Henschien, Margaret Stakkestad (TV 2), Øyvind Fjeldheim in TV 2 and Ray Kay.
