General TV Channel / Channel 10 is a chain of general television French private local broadcast in the department overseas of Guadeloupe in the French language and Creole. Canal 10 was created in 1986 by Michel Rodriguez and Alain Mees.
The channel quickly became popular by broadcasting major sports events such as the Guadeloupe International Cycling Tour, as well as pirated programs such as American films, foreign programs and video clips. In violation of the law, the CNCL refused to authorize it in 1987, but Canal 10 took over its programs without authorization until17 November 1998Where it signs an agreement with the CSA 1.
