General TV Channel / Canal 12 is a Salvadoran open television channel. He handles mostly national productions, as well as international films and telenovelas. It is currently owned by the media transnational Albavision, through the company Red Salvadoreña de Medios (RSM).

Channel 12 of El Salvador was inaugurated on Saturday, December 15, 1984, using the slogan “The Salvadoran signal”, being its first owner the lic. Félix Castillo Mayorga, who projected a modern channel, with strong relations with the Channel 3 of Guatemala and as clear competitor of Telecorporación Salvadoreña. The musical theme of the channel was interpreted in marimba and was called “There was born the fatherland”.
