Lifestyle TV Channel / Canal K is a pay-TV channel that belongs to Grupo Mídia do Brasil, The channel had its debut as Chef TV on January 17, 2011, at 8:00 am, its programming is focused on sport, culture, food, lifestyle and business, the channel has more than 40 programs that deal with championships, art, cinema, books, music, series, recipes, restaurants, health, beauty, fitness, fashion, behavior, relationships, travel, among others.
The idea of a pay-TV channel totally focused on gastronomy emerged in recent years, after studying Brazilian habits. Today, it is common to use different types of media (TV, Internet, Magazine, Newspaper, etc.) to learn about the gastronomic culture of Brazil and the world, new recipes, tips, discover new foods or simply experience something new and fun.
The only one of its kind in Brazil, it differs from other international channels because it is regionalized and, at the same time, shows the universe of gastronomy from several countries, that is, it meets everyone’s expectations. It is the only Brazilian television channel with content 100% focused on the gastronomic world. It has 80% national production and 20% international cuisine.
The channel featured 24 hours of programming focused on gastronomic themes, including: cooking by great chefs, confectioners, healthy food, world of wines, food properties, basic cuisine, sustainability, among others. On October 6, 2022, there was a complete change in the channel with the channel ceasing to be called Chef TV and changing its name to Canal K with an entirely new and varied programming.
