News TV Channel / On 16 August 2016, the daily newspaper “Österreich” announced that it will launch the 24-hour news channel oe24.TV on 26 September 2016 in cooperation with CNN. The logo of the television channel is based on the logo of the online portal of the newspaper. Editor-in-chief of oe24.tv is Wolfgang Fürweger. After the start of the broadcast, oe24.tv was warned by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Teletest (AGTT) because oe24.tv was advertised with wrong audience numbers, reach and market shares. Unlike originally announced, oe24.tv only partially live broadcasts, most of the day recorded live broadcasts are broadcast in the loop.

At the end of November 2016, “Austria” editors spokeWolfgang Fellner and oe24.tv CEO Niki Fellner in an interview about a “sensational success” of the station. On January 27, 2017 was head of service János Aladár Fehervary from oe24.tv CEO Fellner immediately canceled after Fehérvárys announcement of a council set up and released from their duties, Fellner junior justified the termination and release from work with “economic reasons”.
