General TV Channel / Office de Radiodiffusion et Télévision du Bénin (ORTB) is a mainstream terrestrial television channel and radio operator in Benin. It has its headquarters in Cotonou.

In 1964 the Government of Dahomey signed an agreement with France for the training of Dahomean personnel in Paris by the technicians of the ORTF, and in 1969, with the funds of the national lottery and French cooperation,’experimentation of television from the premises of the Post Office and Telephones in Cotonou, dubbed’ mini-television’, which will never be applied, following the changes of government.
