General TV Channel / The Belarusian Service of Radio Liberty is a Belarusian-language subdivision of Radio Liberty, broadcasts from outside Belarus, is part of the structure of Radio Liberty – Free Europe, and is funded from the United States. In 2006, the Belarusian Service of Radio Liberty received the main prize for the best coverage of hot news among 20 editorial offices of Radio Free Europe, and in 2007 – for achievements in multimedia convergence. In 2008, the Belarusian Radio Service took the first place in terms of the population of the respective country among other services of Radio Free Europe.
