Sports TV Channel / sportstv is the sports channel within the Sportsnet Group, which was established on July 1, 2010. Sportsnet Group decided to part ways with Doğan Yayın Holding, with whom it has been working on the D Spor channel since 2006, and acquired all the powers of D Spor. Then, on July 1, 2010, D Spor’s name and logo were changed and Sportstv started broadcasting as a private channel of D-Smart on the same frequency. It is one of Turkey’s first unencrypted sports channels.

On July 30, 2011, sportstv ceased to be a private channel of the D-Smart platform and started broadcasting without encryption via Türksat 2A satellite, and also started broadcasting on Turkcell TV+ and tivibu. Currently, only D-Smart broadcasts on channel 84, Turkcell TV+ on channel 73 and Kablo TV on channel 245. It is the only official broadcaster of the Women’s Basketball Super League starting from the 2022-2023 season.
