General TV Channel / Asonga TelevisiĆ³n or Asonga TV is the name given to one of the television networks in the African country of Equatorial Guinea. It is based in Malabo, the national capital north of the island of Bioko (Bioko North Province). It is the only non-state owned channel that operates in that African nation. Although it is private, in practice it is linked to the government since its founder is the current Vice President of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, who is also the son of President Teodoro Obiang, so the programs usually follow the editorial line of the Equatoguinean State.

Since 2014ā€‹ its signal can be received over the Internet from anywhere in the world.ā€‹ In 2015ā€‹ its news programs entered into an international controversy by harshly criticizing the Kings6ā€‹ and the Government of Spain, after Spanish Television (TVE) broadcast a documentary (called The Paradox of Abundance) criticizing the Equatoguinean Government.
