General TV Channel / Bahrain TV is a public television channel in Bahrain . Founded in 1973, it belongs to the Bahrain Radio and Television Corporation ( Sociéte Bahrain Radio and Television ) and is under the Ministry of Information ( information affairs authority ).

It is broadcasted on radio and cable networks in the main cities of the kingdom. An international version, redacted of certain programs for which it does not have broadcasting rights, is taken over by several satellites in the Middle East ( Arabsat ) and Europe ( Hot Bird ). It takes up almost all of the channel’s programs simultaneously and serves as a link with members of the diaspora and all those interested in this Gulf Kingdom.
