Sports TV Channel / The Presidente Remón Hippodrome is the name given to a sports facility built to host horse races and various equestrian events, located in Panama City, the capital of the Central American country of Panama. The venue is close to other emblematic infrastructures such as the Rommel Fernández Stadium, the Luis Ernesto Cascarita Tapia Stadium and the Roberto Durán Arena.
Various national and international competitions have been held in the space, such as the Caribbean Equestrian Series, which brings together horses from various countries in the region. It receives its name in honor of José Antonio Remón Cantera, a Panamanian politician and soldier assassinated during a day of horse racing at the Juan Franco Hippodrome, when he was President of Panama.
The Presidente Remón Hippodrome is the only equestrian sports venue with activity in Central America, the days of the races are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
