News TV Channel / TVNET is a Turkish news broadcaster based in Istanbul. He belongs to the Albayrak media group, which in turn is part of Albayrak Holding. Initially, a test program was run under the name ATR; on January 1, 2007, regular broadcasting operations under the name TVNET began. The station specializes in news as well as political discussions and reports. He is considered to be close to the ruling Justice and Recovery Party (AKP) and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
